Posted Images not sharp

I have noticed for some time that the images I post here on PBase are not as sharp and clear as they are on my computer or other places I post, such as 500px and Facebook.

Here is an example:

This image is 1,200 x 672 @ 72ppi, exported from Lightroom Classic 9.1, with Output sharpening for screen set on high.

Any ideas?

Dunno -- sometimes this sort of complaint relates to PBase (or other host) internally resizing images, but if your complaint is about the 'original size' display, that should presumably be a non-issue. My thought (since you have access) is to download the image from PBase and see if the file size matches what you originally uploaded. Perhaps there is some tinkering with the JPEG compression?

All that said, it looks quite good to me!

Your image on my monitor (Eizo ColorEdge CG2730) seems to be over-sharpened, so it is certainly not too soft. This is true for many photos I see on PBase. I wouldn't be surprised, that my images on this platform are rated as very soft (under-sharpened).

I just came back onto PBase after quite a few months off. If anything, the images are even worse after posting than before.
I've tried several different methods for sharpening and nothing helps.
Walter's images are among the best for crispness here.
PBase has changed because it never used to say Large/Auto.
Not even FB is this bad.
I post on many other forums - flickr/Instagram and 500PX are some. Always sharp.
Any suggestions that may help for post sharpening?
I have non cloud PS6 and ACR; also Nik.
Also, which option on the galleries is best? - Keep original/recompress/delete
Thanks
Carol
