Direct Linking on forum sites problem

I subscribe to a forum site where I periodically post my Photos for the other members to view. When I do this, to view the image you have to cut and paste the URL into your browser, I would prefer people to just click on the URL address and access it automatically, is this a forum fault or am I not doing it right. I think its me but I could be wrong, as when I post the same address into word I simply hold down the shift key and klick on the URL and get the picture.

It is most probably that particular forum's "fault".
