Buttons

Post Mon Sep 05, 2005 9:44 am

I have created a few buttons to use for the PBStats link on your PBase main gallery page.

Image Image

Image Image

These are inspired by the numerous 80 x 15px buttons found on weblogs. Please do not link to these buttons. No guarantee that I will maintain the links!

Right-click then choose 'Save Picture As', and download the button to your hard drive. Then, upload it to your In Box and link it from there.

Feature request

Post Wed Dec 21, 2005 4:10 pm

PBstats is very, very cool, especially for those of us with OCD who need to know every stat we can about our galleries. :-)

One mod for the next release? Add a link in the counter for those images who don't have a title. This will allow direct viewing of photos without titles.

Existing code:

Code: Select all
<tr>
<td>[239] <a href='http://www.pbase.com/image/38686334'></a></td> <td>&nbsp;in gallery: sea011505<br></td>
</tr>

Proposed change:

Code: Select all
<tr>
<td> [<a href='http://www.pbase.com/image/38686334'>239</a>] <a href='http://www.pbase.com/image/38686334'></a></td> <td>&nbsp;in gallery: sea011505<br></td>
</tr>

Thank you!

Done, please send me an email, and I will forward you a copy of pbstats 1.3.1 - if it works for you, then I will ask srijith to upload it.

Woot i was about to post a message who mto make it owrk but i got it working i still get a message saying that i have a missing file
this application has failed to start beacause SSLEAY32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem......

and any way to make a scrip or macro so i dont have to run command prom for it would a batch file work ?

And the gui dose not work i dont know why :?

Arjun,

This is a work of art.

Just beautiful in how it works and what it does.

Alex, assuming you are on windows, to get rid of this SSLEAY error, installing http://www.slproweb.com/download/Win32O ... 0.9.8a.exe should fix it.

Regarding the macro, sure, you need to use pbstats.exe (not pbgui.exe) like so:

pbstats.exe -u <your username> -password <your password> -graph

It should not ask you for anything. If you are concerned about your password showing up, try logging into PBase in IE and then try the script without the -password - not sure if it will work - users have reported that not specifying the password works in some cases (it uses the IE login credentials) and not in some cases.

As far as the gui goes - what happens when you run it ?

Unfortunately, I am limited by what Slug exposes at http://www.pbase.com/client\?view=imagestats - he requested that I don't write a program that scrapes through all pages of a user and pick up data as that (understandably) would kill his bandwidth (we are all ego maniacs when it comes to looking at our stats ;-) )

So instead, he provided me with one page which had raw data on all the user's images (visible only when the user is logged in, which is why this program needs you to be logged in - a nice side effect is that if someone is not logged in as you and is using this program, he will not be able to see your count)

In that one page, (http://www.pbase.com/client\?view=imagestats) direct links is not something that was exposed.

Not working

Post Sat Dec 02, 2006 10:52 am

I have been using PBStats for around 6 months now with no problems whatsoever, until this morning

I loaded the GUI and typed in my gallery name, it went through the usual retrieval of RSS style and then just said DONE

No stats, no images, nothing

Anyone else having the same problem ????
