After picture uploads I would prefer the images to insert themselves numerically BEFORE the exsisting pictures. Therefore the NEWER pictures would be seen before the older (exsisting) ones.

Any thoughts?

I don't mind the new photos being given newer numbers. Programatically it makes more sense to increment the highest number by 10 than to renumber all the existing numbers. What we need is the ability to display in desc (descending order) so that the newest are at the top. And for those that want the newest ones at the bottom, asc for ascending order.

Yes, we are planning to add some options for re-ordering photos in galleries. Functions on the list include:

- Being able to renumber images (space them out by 10's again)
- Displaying images from newest to oldest

Good idea.

My main probs are

[1]   I zip up files in exactly the order I want to display them,
to save time here.

    a. The original order is ignored and the files
are placed in alpha order - usually not at all in
chron order or the order I wanted. It's harder
to see them on a list here and decide which should
go ahead of what

    b. It's a lot of work to reorder them by reassigning
numbers and inserting.

[2]   On Ofoto, with inferior display options to PBase's of course!,
you can go to a folder and just move the images around!

If it's possible for you folks to ever do that, it'd be a
great timesaver
