Is there any possibility of replacing that bar with customisable graphics like "Powered by Pbase" and the links in text whereby they can be placed in customisable headers and footers?

Nope. You can't do it as of now. Hopefully slug can consider this suggestion.

As do I. Maybe a little choice banner image at the bottom instead. Similar to pmachine
