It would be great if you could have a second userid for your account that has view only access. (like a guest account).
Then you could define a gallery as visible only to yourself and the guest account.
I would like to be able to put up some shots for friends and family only to see while keeping the rest available for the general public.

Uncheck "public gallery" in the gallery admin page and tell the full URL to only the people you want to show the gallery to. To make guessing of the URL difficult, you can also use random numbers/alphabets as "gallery name".

I think it is in slug's to-do list. So hopefully we will have it soon. It is a nice feature to have.
