Flickr has a new thing now where you just add /show after the url, and it goes automatically to this great slide show. This is wonderful if you want to give out a link, post it on a forum, blog, etc., and the images are full screen.

I imagine it can't be that hard to do. Take a look at it. I think it would be a super addition to pbase.

Example:

Admin is aware of PicLens, and are currently working on it though it's not as simple as you think. They could probably enable it now, but many people have hidden galleries which they prefer not showing. Not as great to view but still easy to use is our own slideshow.

http://www.pbase.com/yardbird/usa_chicago_windycity&view=slideshow

Just add "&view=slideshow" to the gallery link and send it out. It should start with a slideshow.

You can always make a new stylesheet to help create the Flickr effect . Then just use the Pbase Slideshow code in the HTML description field.

Then just type in the url for the new gallery

This will do it, thanks. Wanted something for email and lists that started immediately. This works fine. Didn't know about it.

This looked good! Are the process & instructions documented somewhere in PBase help docos, perhaps?
