Search capabilities

I found that the search tool, searches by the caption, rather than the keywords that we specify for each photo. I am not sure if this correct, but i tried searching for photos by the keywords I have given. But it kept saying no photos found. If I search for my name Karthik, only photos that have karthik explicitly in the title comes. Not my photos, though i have my name as a keyword in many photos.

If this is true, is it possible to make the search engine actually search through the keywords column we specify?
