Lightroom plugin for upload

This is by far my highest request for fixing. Nearly every other similar site has done this some time ago. This would allow uploading titles, keywords etc. I don't understand why this is not done - it can't be that hard.

Yes, I'd really appreciate one too. This is now so standard on the big sites like Flickr and Facebook, it is a real shame that Pbase hasn't got a Lightroom publish service. Although I continue to do what I've always done - upload multiple files in Zip archive - I think this is a major gap in Pbase's environment.

Anthony.

Would really be a boon to my work flow. That is the one key feature that I would use for the new creative work I have planned. Now I am using Facebook , my own website or Blogspot to upload my images.Pbase has a large following but hope that they would step up and create a plugin. That alone would get a lot of people away from Flickr and the like. I'm not holding my breath to wait for an announcement.

This is a big factor why I will probably let my pBase account expire after something like 8 or 9 years. I can easily batch upload to flickr, zenfolio, facebook, etc. Even though I like the Pbase interface better than any of the others, it is lagging behind the others as far as usability and staying technically at the forefront. Heck I can even upload pics from Zenfolio to flickr! It's been a nice run Pbase, but if I don't see some updates, I'm outta here.

I too would greatly appreciate an pbase upload plugin for Lightroom.
There are Lightroom plugins for Facebook, Flickr and SmugMug, but I don't use those services.
So, please move this up the priority list.

Thanks,

Timo

Would like to ad "me too" to this.

Just got an email that my PBase account is up for renewal. There are two things that I would like to see working with PBase. First, a decent uploader. Secondly, the option to browse through the images in a gallery with the arrow keys. I'm not lazy but prefer to use the keyboard over the mouse whenever I can.

Still unsure if I should let me account expire or not. Haven't used it much lately but still like PBase a lot.

My top request, especially so you could upload keywords, titles, locations etc. It seems almost every other site has done it months if not years ago.

We are looking into a lightroom plugin.

Just so you know, the new edit tool - http://beta.pbase.com/edit - extracts keywords, titles, locations, etc. upon upload. So, you might find that useful.

hi ac, the tinderbox website no longer exists (where the plugin download leads) o you have a copy of that plugin that you could distribute, it sounds great.

Yes the edit tool is useful but still quite limiting. Look at the Publishing services for smugmug in LR3 - that is progress.
-uses smart collections
-no need to create jpgs first, will go straight from raw or other format
-can add folders on smugmug easily within LR3
-can easily mark for republish

These elements really make a quick workflow.

Anyway, a Lightroom 4 update is urgently needed.

Maybe PBase should contact Jeffrey Friedl who builds such up-loaders for Flickr, Smugmug, PicasaWel, Facebook, and others.
Here is one address: http://regex.info/blog/lightroom-goodies

If PBase does nothing, maybe users should contact Jeffrey individually.

I'm very interested in a plugin for Lightroom 4. Hopefully it will be added soon.

Link to files

I have tried to provide an alternative download for the plugin provided by "lucidity" - viewtopic.php?f=7&t=37720#p244293. The original download site no longer exists so I have placed the files on my own website. The link below should work but I would be grateful if somebody could try it out. Download the zip file and extract it to somewhere the Lightroom add-in manager can see. There is also a link to the Pbase forum thread noted above for information.

Sorry but I can't help with debugging the code or developing it further - my coding skills peaked with Pascal some decades ago! All I can say is that it works with Lightroom 4.1. There will probably be some error messages generated which I think are related to exif data so try turning off the exif option to see if that helps.

I will of course remove the files immediately if requested to do so by the originator. I hopefully don't have any adverts or other nasties on my site, I just use Google Analytics to keep track of visitor numbers.

cheers

Steve

Great Steve that works, thank you so much!! I used to have that plugin but for some reason it had disappeared so I really appreciate this. I really do hope that someone will be able and willing to take it under his/her wing to keep it up to date.
