Dear all,

I wrote a new tool for backing up photos from pbase into the local disk. Would anyone be interested to give it a try? I'd like to get some feedback before making it public.

I managed to make a first release of PBackup.

http://florian-gh.github.io/pbackup/

Currently, I've only Windows binaries, but I hope I'll make ones for Linux and Mac OS. I'm not releasing the source code, only compiled binaries.

Any comments, bugs, requests for enhancements etc. can be logged at the "issues" link. Please feel free to add a good word too, if you find it useful :)

Florian.

Curious, can you set the software with a password to download images in passkey protected galleries?

What about hidden images/galleries?

Thanks for creating a new tool for downloading images, online galleries have saved many a person's collection of work from harddrive fatalities.

Hi (and sorry for the late reply, as I don't see the forum very often..)

The app logs into PBase just as when you log in manually, so whatever you see, that's what is backed up. I don't have passkey-protected galleries, but my guess is the owner, when logged in, sees all his pictures -- in this case, all of them will be backed up.

Would be great to also maintain the tree structure and nested photo galleries, including post and comments. In other words, a complete back-up. I asked that question before and was told is not currently an option...
