Since I arrived to pbase, I faced the problem that many of you have already come across: changing the root gallery looking. I have little knowledge of CSS/HTML so I checked this "HTML and style sheet" forum and found that there was really room for the "impossible". After some work I have came to this, I hope you like it:

HOWTO section
You may notice it is strongly influenced by Oochappan pbase gallery (really nice!):

however, he uses Macromedia flash for the main design and I wanted a fully html-based design. I checked for a compatible solution implementing a slideshow, and I arrived to this page:

I simplified a bit the javascript functions you can find there and adapted them to the singularities of pbase. To create a page like the one I show you, you need to modify the CSS style sheet and include all the relevant code in the user description of the root gallery. Saving my root gallery to your local hard disk will give you the CSS file and the source code you would need to include. At the begining of the javascript section you can see the links of the images to be shown. You can also modify the slideshow parameters (like transition time and displaying time). I can write a detailed HOWTO if necessary.
I have checked it works fine with IE and Firefox. It should work also with KDE browser. Comments and suggestions welcome.
