Reposistion Thumbs?

Post Fri Oct 06, 2006 1:24 pm

Can anyone explain to me on how to reposition the gallery thumbs? I like how this gallery looks, http://www.pbase.com/cesar_junior/flowers and would like to try something like this.

Thank you

Ron,

Changing the thumb position like in the gallery you link to is, I think, a function of the Cell Spacing and Cell Padding values in the Edit Gallery page. Not sure what the values are that the person used in your example gallery but my guess is somewhere between 1 and 3. I would just play around with those values till I got it like I want it (I keep a hidden test gallery up just to play with stuff like this).

Hope this helps out a bit.

If you do a view source you'll see the code that loads css using http://css.pbase.com/styles/16272.css. You should be able to discern some of the setting used looking at the code.

Edit the gallery and try various values in the fields below,

cell spacing XX minimum pixels between thumbnails
cell padding XX pixels of space around thumbnails

You should see a difference with the spacing and positioning depending on the values you use. The lower the value the closer the spacing etc., the higher the value the greater the spacing etc. Start with 0 and increase the value until you get something you like.
