How to custumize Profile Page

Post Thu Sep 13, 2007 4:35 pm

At first, hello everybody :)
I'm new in pbase, in photography, in everything :D

At second, sorry for my very bad english... i'll try to explain my problem as well as possible :?

I've search on the forum but i don't find the answer, maybe i've do it wrong...

I want to custumize my profile page (not the root gallery)

I want a black background and put the text in white.. I don't know how to do :(

And i don't know why i can't see random pics at the end of my profile :(

I hope you understand what i am trying ton explain :D

Thanx a lot for your answers :)

Karine

Hi,

I think I don't agree with Daniel.
Karine check the profile page of this user : http://www.pbase.com/cjburianek/profile
She has customised her profile page.
So there is a way to customise this page, and in a very elaborated way.

Can other users answer this post and explain us how to do it ?

I'm interested too. And I'd like to understand.

Best regards,

Guillaume

Salut Karine,
c'est possible puisque c'est fait par cette utilisatrice :

et par quelques autres que j'ai visite.
J'espere que les reponses a tes questions vont venir...
A+

To do what CJ Burianek did go to your profile page then click 'add personal message' (right above random pictures). Here you will have to add the following code to get your stylesheet into the page:
Code: Select all
<style>@import "#css_url"; </style>

Where #css_url is the url of the stylesheet you would like to use. To find the url of your stylesheet just go to a page that uses said stylesheet and view page source. At the top you will see 2 <link rel="stylesheet"...> tags. The tag that has href="http://i.pbase.com/..." is not the url you want, it's in the other one (I think it is always the second one).

We are working on allowing users to use his/her own stylesheets for the profile and guestbook pages, until then you will have to use this workaround.

Karine,
Here's one I'd fixed for a friend that's similar to what you're asking about. So, you can just add it to get you started. Shouldn't be much you'll need to change.
Code: Select all
<style>@import url("http://css.pbase.com/styles/98060.css?t=1181552345");</style> <br>
