gallery caption alignement

sorry for the maybe stupid question but can anyone explain me with simple words (my english isn't too good) what I must add (and where) into the CSS so that the caption (descreption/name above a gallery) is shifted from the right to either left side or center.

If you'll check your "street life" gallery, you'll easily find it in this section:

many thanks!! I changed the align-line to left now, clicked update CSS and update gallery but the damn thing stays far right like pegged

is it maybe because I use firefox?

EDIT: okay in my own stylesheet this really worked. Now I have deleted my own CSS and wanted to just copy the HTML-stuff of one of the standard style sheets (alexc) and alter it as I like. Basically the alexc is nice just the alignement of the captions is not perfect. However, after deleting my own CSS I have no Idea how I can get the HTML-stuff of this alexc CSS....

problem solved!

I found the alexc-contents in here copied it, renamed it and can now alter it as I like. What I do not know where one can find the contents of the provided CSS' cause it took me quite a while till I found it...

Steve,
If you've installed Firefox, you need the "Web Developer Toolbar" installed for it. Once installed, just open the CSS with it while viewing your gallery & edit in real time. Then copy, and add to your sheets using a new name for it. Instructions, and link to add the toolbar in the first "sticky" post of this forum, here: http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?t=13408

Thanks for the info,yes I use Firefox. As soon as I've got more time I'll go through that 'Toolbar Theme'. I hope I can install it as I always have problems with installation guides in English. I am not a native speaker

Can you change the name of the gallery through CSS?

I'm not sure why you'd need to use CSS to change the gallery name. Just rename it, click update and it's changed. Sorry if I'm not understanding what you mean.
