Banner Help!

I'm trying to add a banner across my main page.

I've finally figured out how to get it there but now I need to know what size is needed to span the full width of the page?

Oh and also.... how do I change the color of the background just at the Pbase title bar. Where you have profile, all galleries, edit root gallery and recent.

Ok.
Got the banner large enough to span the width of the screen by enlarging the .jpg image. Is there a better way?

Still working on the Pbase menu though....
