where to install web developer

Sorry for this (maybe) stupid question

I want to make a brief start with restyling my pbase pages.
as described i installed mozzilla firefox.
I also downloaded the web developer . but when i open firefox i don't get the right toolbars. I think it has something to do where i have to install the webdeveloper.

Do i need to install it in a certain map ??????

After installing the extension there is a 'Web Developer' menu under the 'Tools' and context menu of the browser, as well as a new toolbar.
