17 hours and no results

I started yesterday 7 hours and didn't go any where I'm a carpenter trying to play with html another 9 hours today and still my gallery is a disaster,
is there any good samaritan that can paste me a sample to make my slide show run property also for a moment I erased the edit root gallery and was stuck finally I when to three view and was able to get where I'm right now please help me I have a headache so I stoped for now


please paste me only what I need to add or do (everything )thanks in advance

A "disaster" ? It looks very nice! But I guess you mean the slideshow isn't
displaying?

You need to paste in here exactly what you put into your
edit-gallery box when you put in the slideshow code.
PBase's source code doesn't show that.

I do see that while mine has a listing for each picture,
yours doesn't list pictures. It could be just that you didn't
capitalize slideshow or you left a space where you shouldn't
or something. But it would help if we could see your
slideshow statement.

not exactly sure what you are doing but to put a slide show on, you put the following code in the discription field of you gallery and then replace the text gallery_name with text from the gallery name field. A slide show will run if there are pictures in the gallery and not just links to new albums.

First, your view-source info for the page isn't what we need.

Well, I didn't see but one pic in the slideshow when I looked.
Maybe because pbase would not let you show pictures that
belonged to another user.

As Dang said, you need to put in links to your own images.
Or the gallery you made for slideshow pics. Do read the
link he gave you, for sure.

Most of us just use one gallery in which we place
the pictures for the slideshow. Others use individual
pictures from actual galleries they're already in.

yes andrys is correct what I did and what I pasted is also what I have in me edit field maybe I have unnesesary info in my edit field .

Dang!!! I replaced the numbers and still the same should I start all over againg?
what i don't understand is the bunch of numbers after de eight digits wich supost to be my image number , for exmaple this XQbPgJ1Q. should I leave that alone as well or need to be changed? I really apresiate your help and andrys his help as well as for right now i'm going back for more research in the old treads and reads some advices youhave given to others . I'll be here waiting lol

First, as Andrys points out, it would help to see the actual code you've added into the gallery description area and not the "Source". Your html in the description should have something similar to this for the slide show section, which starts below your link buttons:

Note the image showing number 56552555 is not part of the slide show images, but a spacer which should be left alone. The image numbers are this section:

When you view the source, pbase has changed the code, which makes if different. So if you've copied someones source code and tried using it, this is where the problem is occurring. Notice the .jpg isn't added in your html description....

ok I started all over againg following the one you did for karen, I change the image number already those showing here are from my galleries and still don't show , but this is exactly what I got if you save it in html file you will see exactly how it looks or if you can fix it for me please and paste it for me so I can put it in the edit field sorry for taking advantage of your good heart NOTE: this IS not in the edit field yet ,I wanna make sure it's ok before I put it in.

Just make a test gallery for your changes and testing of them.

That's what others would be doing for you, and that part you can do
yourself. No better way to learn than to see what happens.

At the edit_gallery UNCHECK the "public gallery" field checkbox for
"this gallery can be viewed by anyone"

And then make all the changes you want...
