My new design is now online

Post Tue Jan 22, 2008 9:57 pm

Hi everyone,

For a couple of months I have worked with a designer on re-doing my Pbase site. After a lot of work I am now able to present my new layout.

Almost all of it is CSS based incl. the layout (no tables) and I certainly learne a lot of CSS coding doing this! I had to use @import to style the profile, and in the gallery description of my gallery pages to style them the way I wanted them. I wish IE wasn't so buggy, it only looks just right in Firefox and Safari, Mozilla etc. In IE there are a few things that prevent me from doing the gallery pages just as I want them.

Overall I am extremely happy with it, all questions and comments very welcome! Here it is:

great work. I used to think I had the unique home page and was lazy to do anything else with it but now u've made me at least make a mental note to think about a new design. Great use of CSS.

Thanks everyone!!! Glad you like it!

As for the source code, you wanna know where it is? Right click and there it is hehehe. Hardly possible to hide html or css !

Actually the html and css is fairly simple, although there's a lot of css and css tricks in there. It's the super layout that makes you think this is advanced stuff :D I'm glad to help so look at the source code and use what you like (it would be nice if you credited me though) or ask me if you have any questions.

(I wouldn't copy my css 100% though, it'll only work with my layout and I have different css' for front page, galleries, profile, pano galleries - and then the galleries get another stylesheet imported as well)

regards,

Flemming
