Logo on Heading Trouble...still

Post Mon Jan 28, 2008 7:53 am

I am a newbie needing some help...have looked all throught the books and threads and for the life of me cannot figure out where I am going wrong. I have 2 questions.

1. I am trying to put a header on my page and following the directions from a previous thread do not know where to insert the code
<img src="http://www.pbase.com/djwixx/image/66949074.jpg">

Can someone look at my CSS and tell me where and how to insert it ?
http://css.pbase.com/styles/107626.css

2. I want to disable the right click option. Where exactly in my CSS am I pasting the follwing code?
<BODY onContextMenu='alert("Thanks for viewing my gallery. These images are copyrighted. To inquire about usage, please send send me an email.");return false;'>

Thanks in advance.

Both go into the description box in the "gallery edit" screen not into the CSS sheet.

How can you do this without having to apply it to each image? Is there a way to do it once, and have it apply to all images in a gallery?

All I described was where to place the logo code information that would appear at the top of the gallery and where to place the right click disable code.

Actually, If I'm not mistaken, the "right click disable" should go into the "tech notes" section of each image. Also, it works for some browsers but not for others.

I believe you are correct Dang

I misread the original post. I just tested this in the "tech note" section but it did not work. It did however work in the "caption section".

Thanks Dang

Hmm.. don't know what to say Shawn, maybe it's due to our running system. Are you using a Mac? I'm using Windows OS and it works as I'd said with Firefox, but not IE7. And adding it to the description doesn't work for either.

Regardless, as we all know... it only protects downloading if the person wanting a photo is totally computer ignorant anyway. I only use it in a couple of galleries where I've had someone repeatedly take a few shots to use on the Space place (my). After awhile, I became tired of tracking them down, and the space place wasn't very helpful. So much for being hard on copyright infringement, eh. :D

I guess, if it doesn't work one way try the other. Odd though....

EDIT: After installing coding into several galleries within the tech notes, it does indeed seem to work for Firefox, IE & Safari. Though it's affected by
the viewers browsers settings.
