Random slideshow/images

Hi there,
Just wondering if the PBase slideshow function has been modified to allow random display order of photos in a slideshow. Ideally I want a slideshow of images displayed on my main page, with the images selected at random from a particular gallery. As viewers are only likely to stay on the main page for a short time, it would be great if they don't see the same slideshow order upon each visit.

Failing this, rather than a slideshow, would it be possible for a single image to be displayed, but that particular image chosen at random from a gallery so that it is different each time?

So far I don't think there's a way to get random images. You can read the original thread when it was implemented here (in case memory fails me): http://forum.pbase.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=32091

You can make a request in the "request forum" http://forum.pbase.com/viewforum.php?f=7,
but with all the large updates going on at the moment it might be a long time before they'd get to it. There's also the possibility that someone knows a "hack" to do it, but I'm personally not aware of one at the moment.
