Slideshow Bug in Firefox 3?

Post Tue Jul 01, 2008 6:07 am

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing problems with slide shows displaying properly in FF3. The photos load, then after fade the image reappears momentarily before the next image pops up. When using the slide show link in galleries, it also stretches the same photo twice between landscape & portrait view before properly loading. The same galleries work fine with IE & Safari.

Another glitch seems to be every page loads twice, which can be time consuming among other problems it causes. It's especially annoying when editing a gallery with 50 to 100 images. There's time to make a couple of code changes, then the page reloads before hitting update. You then need to double check the coding shows the change properly, or updating can render some surprising results.

Am I alone in these problems, or has anyone else experience similar?

Thanks in advance,
tom

Hi Tom,

Been using Firefox 3 for a while, haven't noticed any of the problems you describe. Slideshow works fine on my front page as far as I can see.
I will try and look into it later, don't have the time right now.

regards,

Flemming

Thanks Flemming,
Didn't think others could be having all these problems, or I'd have heard. I've now removed FF3 and gone back to version 2+ which is working fine. I think I'll give it a few weeks before updating again. No sure if my computer has something to do with it, I'm running an AMD processor.
Thanks again!
