Open source code for photo galleries???

Hello all,

I have been researching various Open Source codes for photo galleries to implement to my websites. What I want is similar to PBase, wherein you see thumbnails and when you click on thumbnails you get the full-size pic. What I see available are codes that give you thumbs, then an intermediate pic and when you click that one, it opns the pic full-size in a new window. I don't want that, I need thumb to full-size WITH previous/next navigation. Currently I manually code and build my gallery pages and would love an open source code to use instead.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't ran across an open source myself, but hopefully someone else has a link, I'd like to find one too.
I have found one which uses thumbs on the same page, and opens large within a center window. Though not ideal,
they're multi page templates which might give you some ideas: http://www.dcarter.co.uk/templates.html
