Help with image position in Image View

I've no experience of CSS before and have copied some CSS from a gallery I liked from a guy called Luis (thanks!).
Can anyone help me with a basic thing please? In the view of a single image, the image is clipped at the top, positioned too close to the top of the page. I can't work out where in the style sheet this border is...
An example can be seen here - the top frame in my image should be the same depth as the bottom and I'd just like to move it away from the top of the page.

I also have some problems with the size of thumbnails, the position of my slideshow (again clipped) and the text within the thumbnails. Any help welcome, but I should try and learn myself !!
