I posted this earlier in the Q&A forum. Now I realize it's probably the wrong forum. So here is my question:

I would like to change the appearance of my profile page to the same as I use in my galleries. I use the pbase "webdew" profile. How do I get it applied to the profile page. I am completely css illiterate so i would appreciate a detailed step by step response.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kaj

...make that two. I see alot of people with the "black" theme on their profile page. How are they, or where are they putting the CSS for that?

Thanks

Hi guys:

You can change your profile page CSS in one place. This is the "Edit Message" box on your profile page.

Image

Note that the CSS styles number can be found for any PBase stylesheet by right clicking in the page and clicking on "View Source". The code http://css.pbase.com/styles/XXXXX.css can usually found somewhere in the middle. For those that have modified their Profile page, the CSS they are using should be found around where their message is.

The CSS number I have shown is for my profile page which I developed to match my frontpage and if you want the all black version, I suggest you go to the page you saw that, right click , view source and copy that line into the "Edit Message" box in your profile page.

Hope this helps.

Hi, pinemikey. What you give is html code. Some forums support html code, but most forum (95%) just support BBCode. So i think BBCode is more useful...The below is BBcode for changing the profile page style.

Code: Select all

Thanks, but the message box in a member's profile page relies on HTML, not BBCode as used here in the forum....of which, having been here since 2003, I was aware of.

I suspect that I'm actually not talking to a real member, just some kind of spammer, which shouldn't be done. However, I didn't want anyone coming upon this thread getting the wrong instructions for using their message box on their profile page.
