Hi,

My root gallery has 3 galleries with some subgalleries each. How can I set a representative photo for one of my root galleries using a photos that is within a subgallery?
(The only thing I can manage in the moment is to use a photo that is a representative photo itself from one of the subgalleries.)

Any hint would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Manfred

Try this, Manfred.

Upload the image you wish to be the representative in the gallery with all the other sub-galleries. Open the image edit page for your representative image and click "off" the "This image is publicly viewable". Then go to the edit gallery page for your root gallery and select the image "as representative".

Now you will see the image in your root gallery, but visitors will not and hopefully that image will show up as the representative one. At least, it worked for me, I logged out to check.

Good Luck.

Don't forget, however, that the image won't be visible in it's parent gallery.
