Personal opinion, the red background for your images is overwelming. I'd choose a light blue or a green of some sort if you don't want to use grey.

Misty Pics are nice and mysterious looking. I can almost picture Sherlock Holmes walking out of them. Howevr I agree with Sue. If the red is replaced by something more subtle all your galleries will look better.

Red is bright and may be fun for some images but it is not working for me here. Several of the standard galleries at pbase are quite tastefully done and would work with your misty images. Just try them out and see which one you prefer. The standard black or grey may work well with these pics.

Another improvement may be to reduce the size of your name across the images.

Hello all. Thanks for your comments and replies.

About my name on the pictures, since the one I was using was for 2003, I redid it for 2004, and now I got 5 to choose from. Thier hieght is smaller but its alot more in length, an example of one is [img]http://www.pbase.com/image/24824957/medium.jpg[img] found at http://www.pbase.com/image/24824957.

I would just add space to the bottom of each picture and put it in that with a solid background so its notn really part of the picture but then it would be to easy to remove from the image for someone to use as thier own.

About the colors, to me the red doesnt hurt my eyes, and I like the contrast between background/font color, I find the black/grey thing hard to read, the grey isnt much different than the background. But the next time I consider a color theme, Ill consider what you guys have said.

Hello Shecodes, I changed my style sheets to one of the defaults, and changed it a bit for a red theme, so please let me know if you still find this overwelming. pretty much the only difference is a black cell for the image and the image has a red border, the same white/yellow fonts. :0).
