Style sheets and gallery display

Hi All

This request will be a bit different from the usual. I would like you opinion on the style sheet I am using I have set up two galleries, one with my style sheet the other was modified with the help of a professional web designer (my sister-in-law)

So please take a look and tell me which one you prefer and maybe an extra why....

I like that Abstract Gallery's style sheet the best. I like the simplicity of it. The other one looks too contrived and all the business going on distracts from the photos. That's my opinion.

My vote is for the flowers gallery because I think that frames make images stand out. It can be a simple black or white border or an elegant frame, but borders, matting, and framing are all important. HOWEVER, I think that in your case, while the borders are simple, they can be simplified even more (smaller, perhaps?). It's a cliche, I know, but "less is more."

Also, the flowers gallery is nice because the design ties the gallery together - the abstract gallery just looks like a smattering of different images with no unifying element.

IMHO.
