Hi everyone, these are my first try with nude, this is what i wanted to show of my small recent work on it, it's really new for me, so dot not hesitate to comment, and help me to improve.

No comments.....is it so horrible ?

Cyril I wouldn't say they're so horrible, however I don't find anything stimulating in an artistic way. I don't like you're lighting nor the poses. I do like the texture and tone of the images tho. I wasn't looking for porn, rather looking to see why there were no comments. Thats my 2 cents.

Now, I hate to be so negative so I did take time to peruse the rest of your gallery and I must say that you have a nice eye for color and environmental images. I also enjoyed some of your b&w work too, especially the castle shot.

While I am new here, I wanted to throw in my remarks on these. The forms are OK, it's the lighting and the contrast that isn't working for me.

There are no true highlights or really heavy shadows. Try for a wider range of grays--it's just too monochrome. for me.

I quite liked these - definitley don't look like first efforts at nudes. What is the grain? Digitally added, or are you shooting Tri-X / HP5+ ?????

Hi anitasm, and thanks for your feedback. I'm working with a Canon EOS 300D ( Digital Rebel ) with the 18-55 lens of the kit for the moment. The grain was digitaly added on Photoshop, i tried to obtain what my tastes like to see on a photo. And theses are realyy my first try with nudes, thanks to my girlfriend to help me here.

Well you have done the grain nicely; it's usually easy to spot digital grain, but yours looks just like Tri-X.

After having a peek at the rest of your photos on pbase, I can believe that these are your first nudes. You've got a great eye for composition, and your lovely set of 5 are no different. You are also lucky to have such a co-operative girlfriend !

Thx Rob, in fact i was my purpose to look like Tri-X, but it's not easy with digital photos to have this kind of grain without working on Photoshop. Happy to see you think they look like.
Soon i will start a new session of nude with my girlfriend, after reading comments and look more nudes on books, i hope i will do better.
