My wife movies

Hi i just posted some pics of my wife and was wondering if it is possible to post some small movies too ?

Sorry, pictures only. Slug has indicated that he may in the future allow some small movies but he is afraid of the site turning into a trading post for illegal material and for the bandwidth they can take (reasonable concerns).

on the subject of supporting more types of files.

a couple of years ago, we had big problems with mp3s being hosted on PBase which could cause incredible bandwidth usage without warning.

since then i'm somewhat afraid of non image files.

but .docs, .pdfs, .mpgs, .avis, etc etc could all be useful.

i'm not making any promises on when this would happen, but it's definitely a possibility.

i'm still afraid of mpgs and avis. mostly for bandwidth reasons.
i'm also afraid of seemingly safe formats like pdf and doc because it's possible to embed all kinds of stuff in them.
had this problem in various forms with people embedding/appending mp3 files to jpgs so that they behaved like a jpg but the image was just a carrier for the mp3.

I imagine if he ever does allow it there will be big limits for the size an maybe even some code to limit bandwidth on the transfer of those types.

One option that is allowed is you can create animated GIFS. Not a snazzy as a movie but hey a creative guy can do a lot with a little (right)...

I share slug's concerns. The last thing we want is for PBase to degenerate into a porno swap shop. I would support definitively not hosting video files.
