I'm trying to decide which are the 3 best, between the following pictures. I"d really appreciate your help. :) Could you please place a vote for your favorite? Thanks soooo much! ~ Lonnit

Would suggest you either (a) link correctly lest the servers change around and mess up your carefully-drafted post or (b) just post the pics here so the lazy ones among us (that's me) can see them right here 8)

UGH! I had intended to have the photos imbedded. I don't know why they didn't. How do I correct it? At first I opened the photo in my gallery, right clicked on it and copied the url. That ended up posting only the links. I just now went in and tried just opening each page and posting the URL to the page - that still leaves nothing but links. :(

Thanks,
Lonnit

Just add a ".jpg" at the end of each of the links above...

...or for bandwidth's sake, a "/medium.jpg"

I tried adding ".jpg" to each and all it did was make the links have my shot with a white background; it still didn't embed them! :(

So if I were to cut n paste, where would I be doing that from, because neither of my attempts copied the proper url?

Thanks!

Ahhhhhh! Thank you! I had the urls right the first time. Now that you pointed out the "img" tags I see taht just above there is a button to click after highlighting the url, to automatically insert the tags.

Thanks very much!

I think 'Running Through the Zoo' is your best shot

Lonnit,

I enjoyed you work exhibited in the last CTF challenges. My ranking is:
- Running through the zoo and B/W trees by far the best. These are really above average both in idea and execution.
- Bridge view: a distant third. It is a fine pic but to me seems a bit cramped
- everything else, winter landscapes and portraits: technically impeccable, but lacking a sparkle which would make them stand out.

Keep a good work

alexeig

P.S. Keep in mind that I am European and we use superlatives much more sparingly than Americans. Therefore translation of "really above average" to American parlance would result in "gorgeous, exciting and fantastic" ;-))

THanks. :)

I'm very happy to hear the satisfaction iwth the techinical side. It's the sparkle that bugs me. That's where I am having a hard time. I seem to be capturing shots that are pretty, but that don't speak to the viewer. Can any typical shot be made in such a way that it can do so, but I'm just not finding it? Or is it really the rare shot that truly speaks and I havent' found a stiuation yet, or actually missed it? I know that is what my work needs but I can't seem to find it. :( I seem to shoot because "that would make a nice shot" so all I end up with is a bunch of "nice shots", but none that really speak. Ok, well, a few of my kid shots do, but emotion is easier to convey in a human. How do I do it with an inanimate object? Is this something that can be learned, or is this what seperates the class of photographers?

LOL! I guess I tend to be a typical American in that respect! LOL!

Thanks,
WArmly,
Lonnit
