He was also glad to be paid, but I took the picture before he knew I was there.

This is a homeless guy that was hanging out near Union Square. He came up to me and asked me for $5.00! What ever happened to "Can I have some spare change"? I told him I would give him a few dollars if he let me take his picture... He said it was the first time he had "worked" for money in several years.
