The Wisconsin state capitol building in Madison. The Capitol dome is the largest dome by volume in the United States and one of the largest in the world. It is also the only granite dome in the United States. It is modeled after the US capitol building.

For the moment 'till I get back to Honolulu this will have to do. The State Capitol of Honolulu is the flat topped building at the lower left with the upright columns. It symbolizes the island state rising out of the ocean atop a volcano. A side view shot which I'll post later shows this a bit more clearly.

Actually for some individuals, the next picture is the true Capitol Building of Hawaii, it is Iolani Palace, the former residence of the Hawaiian Monarchy before its overthrow.
