Rasheed
When shooting tennis several things or elements must be conveyed. Action, determination, power, and emotion. The tennis ball, while a nice addition is not always needed if the image is strong on the other elements.
When shooting fast moving sports plan on getting a few great images, some good ones and lots of them bound for the trash can. To increase the images that are great...shoot...shoot...shoot.
The following images belong to Rasheed.
I hope you do not mind me posting them in my reply.
A good image showing motion with the player caught with feet off the ground. A little far from the action.
While not showing hands and racket it does a great job of showing emotion and determination on the player face.
With feet off the ground another great image showing the power this player has.
This has almost all you would look for in a tennis photo. Action, emotion, power, and determination, the only thing lacking is the ball.
This image has it all.
This is another one that has it all. Rasheed, perhaps adjusting the levels slightly will increase the sparkle in this image.
These last two are the ones editors are looking for.
Images look great - john
