Yeah..but before submitting to that site I would recommend anyone to read their TOS:
"you agree, by submitting your contribution, to grant the NewsMotion a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sub-licenseable right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, play, and exercise all copyright and publicity rights with respect to your contribution worldwide and/or to incorporate your contribution in other works in any media now known or later developed for the full term of any rights that may exist in your contribution, and in accordance with privacy restrictions set out in the NewsMotion's Privacy Policy."

Much thanks in advance,
Don

P.S.I reserve the right to use the money as I see fit, once it is in my posession I can do with it as I choose....Sorry! :D

Thanks for your message. We have requested our solicitor to look into this matter, below terms should only be applied to contest held later. These terms had been written before our requisition of photos for our own site. Thus, we have amended terms as "remain the property of that owner or whatever party holds the copyright or ownership of submissions" to avoid further confusion.

Ok. Forgive me for my sceptiscism, but that's my nature: I'm a journalist.

What is the purpose of your site? Are you looking to sell the pictures or use them in any way other than just displaying them on your own site? it seems to me a bit too philantropic....

Violation of the charter?

Post Sat Apr 10, 2004 8:23 pm

If I look at the 1st "sticky" message posted here, which appears to be the "Charter of use" from Pbase
(albeit the originator seem to be someone from India and is neither Slug nor Emily... Hm... I hope he *is* with Pbase!)
than your blurb for your Web page appears to be in violation with the purpose of this forum.
You are expected to talk about images posted to Pbase only.

Besides, what is really ugly, as I entered your web page, my browser popped up several cookie notifications from different domains.

Any opinions? Of course I hope that the usual flames of "police in the web" will not follow as they have no effect on me anyway.

Thomas,
I guess you were talking about me. Well, I am not "with" Pbase in that I do not code on Pbase nor do I get paid for the work around here. I am just a voluntary forum moderator.

That "Charter of use" is more like an "Unofficial rule", though Slug has endorsed it in private to me.

As such I do think that this thread is in violation and am locking the thread.

Usualy I don't moderate posts in "Show and Tell" (people who have been here long will know why), but this one I will.
