on a pic of the day I posted for today. Somehow it "grabs" me at the risk of being presumptuous. Maybe it's because I know the history of the camera. It actually has the feel of a pic that would have been taken with the camera in say 1965. I shot probably 10 pics of this in the morning windowlight this morning and came up with this.

would love to have your comments. Does it do anything for you or tell a story in any way?

Hmmm why hasn't anyone responded to this simple question? Well Mark I like the tone, light and setting. The only thing that bothers me is that the box with the flash shroud is "posed". If you were attempting to mimic a setting where it was being used, I don't think anyone would be pulling bulbs out of the box at this angle, I would expect it to be lying flat. Yes I know I'm nit picking, but that is my 2nd cents. I love to see old images and equipment and I think its neat that you're trying to attempt this.

Good luck.

i like the natural window lighting as well, and i love old equipment pictures. we got some stuff from jeff's parents and i keep meaning to work them into my PAD.

my suggestions for your shot mark would be to move the lamp (that looks like a lamp base?) as its a little distracting IMO. also, did you try it from a slightly lower point of view? i would like to see a little bit more of the camera maybe.

i think the black and white look is very suitable.

Overall I like the composition, but would move the lamp base ouf the way, and on an artistic note I would add some grain, I don't think you would be getting images that crisp from that vintage a camera.
