Most Popular Image on PBase?

I agree with you that there is a difference between "the same photo" and "photo of the same scene". But I don't know how one would define that difference.

After taking a photo of the big clock at the Musée d'Orsay from the inside, I noticed that a lot of people on PBase had the same idea. I like the idea of the museum being filled with lots of artistic treasures, but the thing that makes the biggest impression on a lot of people is an "accidental" view of the wrong side of a clock.

Great Shoot!. It has almost the same time that the fifth (or was it the fourth?).

I would say that the difference lays in the "sensation" the picture produces.. If not, what else?

Even though I put together 15 shots or so of the ruins of Tulum, I agree that the same subject is not the same as what you are trying to convey. Like if a busload of people line up to take the exact picture at more or less the same perspective. With that in mind , the images I dug up get whittled down to maybe 4 groups of 3 or 4 perspectives being the same.
