Please visit my web page with the photos of the famous Russian photographer and inventor S. M. Prokudin-Gorskii. In the early 1900s, he invented his own RGB-colour technique. The same object was captured in black and white on glass plate negatives, using red, green and blue filters. Then images could be projected on screen in colour using the same three filters. Between 1905 and 1915 Prokudin-Gorskii took thousands of colour photos of the old Russian Empire.
I have restored over 60 photos from scanned negatives.
Please note that those images are NOT colorized black and white photographs. They were actually taken in colour about hundred years ago!
