The Sukkulenten-Sammlung Zurich is one of the world's largest and most significant collections of succulent plants. It was opened in September 1931. The collection includes about 9,000 varieties of succulent plants. The collection covers a total area of 4750 m2, with 6 public show buildings, 700 m2 of greenhouses for acclimatization, breeding, wintering and protection and 550 m2 of bedding frames which can be heated.
