New to studio work - Please critique

Post Mon Jul 26, 2004 1:28 pm

I've just got a small portable studio setup and am keen to get valuable criticism / tips.

EOS 10D 50mm f1.4 at F8 (DOF modified in Photoshop). Bowens 500 Esprit lights with softbox on key light and silver/white brolly on fill with background lit separately.

I'm not sensitive and it's not my day job - so be blunt as you like.

can't say anything on ur tools...but doing potraits is not easy...since i'm specializing on it, i kinda know the stress and obstacles....but i always found...if u can get "in" to ur subject, than u will see the "real potraits"... just keep looking and searching...

Hi liked the photos, one thing bothered me thow and that was on two of the pictures and that was the shadow on the background. But still very nice. About the picture displayed on this board it might be worth expsperimentin with some gaussian blur on the face deselecting eyes nose and things you might want sharp. But overall very nice
