No, actually they aren't all banished. The problem is that people won't just ignore them or only want to banish the side they don't agree with.

Put Don’s political and/or personal views aside. Look past these and view his other work. We don’t need to agree with Don to see he does have some excellent galleries and images.

One of the reasons for pbase, at least for me is to see other’s work for inspiration. Images I do not like or do not agree with get passed by very quickly and on to images I do enjoy. Even though I may not agree with the amount of nudity on pbase those images are passed by (most of the time). I try to do the same for other images I don’t care for. I want my time spent on pbase to be enjoyable.

I don't think anybody's expecting slug et al to "authenticate" who is the true author of images. But if someone clearly STATES the images were taken by someone else, then I think they should be removed.

But then we get into the question of ownership. Should we be allowed to display pictures we own and have the license to that were not taken by us? Are the images licensed (purchased)by Don or the others to be used as they saw fit or simply copied off the Internet without permission?

I, personally, have a gallery of old childhood pictures which I have scanned in and created a gallery of for my parents to see. While those pictures are owned by me, they were obviously not taken by me. I have also clearly stated that I did not take these pictures. Should these pictures be removed?

I also know of one other gallery where there is no photography at all in it. They entire gallery is composed of original artwork created by that person. Should that be banned because it was not that person's own photography?

I too have also wondered what "artwork", or animation is doing on this site. I guess then it's all very "grey"...
