help with proper protocol

This may sound like a stupid question but....
What is the proper way to respond to coments or questions left in your gallery?
Do you respond in your gallery or send a response directly to the person leaving the coment???
Inquiring minds want to know...
Thanks

Up to you -- I don't think there is a right or a wrong way.

Sometimes I leave a response to a comment right there on the image page, when the question/comment and answer seem to become a key part of the story of the photograph.

Otherwise, I think the Golden Rule (Do unto others...) applies.

rather than WHAT one sees

People would have to come back to the page to see if you've made a response; mostly, unless it has to do with the photo in some major way, I pmail the person if I want to respond to a comment..

Generally I send a PM to them in response to a question. If it is a comment then I generally send a reply to their comment and it also shows under the picture and they may never see it if they never come back to that picture.
