30 minutes....an experiment

I thought it would be kind of interesting to set a challenge for myself. What could I take, process and upload within 30 minutes looking out of my apartment window in Amsterdam. This is what I managed, a lot of fun and pretty rough as I did veeeery minimal editing.

Great images. Sometimes a challenge like this can do a lot to help us see what is around us. As a photo teacher I hear students saying often, "There is nothing here to photograph". By tweaking our vision with self-assignments such as this we can learn to see the unseen.

Thanks a lot for all the comments and feedback! I really enjoyed doing this although it was a real challenge to keep to the 30 min rule I set myself......the desire to make each image stronger and more polished can sometimes inhibit the "....to hell with it..." joy of photography!

Just started this passion about a year ago and realize it can already become something I think I already know something about.....Total rubbish of course but sometime have to devise strategies to subvert that arrogance

I haven't got the view out of my window, but I've sometimes wondered about doing something similar based on a bus route - just to see what happens.

Just one of many things that enter my head as potential galleries that have yet to come to fruition....

Thats a cool idea Ray...I might try something like it on the tram ride into the center of Amsterdam, I quite like shots through dirty windows, nice and gritty....
