Nice photo (I think those houses are referred to as the Painted Ladies). Quick comment on the composition -- I think it would work better if you cropped out the half houses at each side of the image, this would also make the moon closer to the edge of the shot.

Just my 2c.

Somehow the moon seems unnatural here; both in size and color. Shouldn't a moon that low in the sky have a yellowish tint to it due to all the ground atmosphere (pollution) it has to pass thru? As it rises in the sky, it brightens

Great shot Christian....I agree with above comment about the crop to make it tighter and more powerful. I used to work at a building just to the left of the frame you included....this was shot from Alamo Square Park wasn't it?

Yes this was taken from Alamo Square.
I took a shot of the moon at 300mm moments earlier and then photoshopped the moon in for a cool effect. I was just messing around.

Great idea on the crop, I'll try that...
