The one that got away...

I went for a walk to the canal the other day with my newly born son in the pram, took the camera with me, I managed to get a couple of pictures with nothing much happening then my son started crying to be fed, a handy bench in the autumn sun next to the bridge seemed like the perfect place to feed him, so I got him out of the pram a settled down to feed him, just as I did there was a hell of a racket,

A big swan was coming in to land, it flew under the bridge (I'm not sure how it didn't hit it) filling most of the space, proceeded to run over the surface water for about 50 yards in front of me before stopping for a relaxing swim,

I had just put the camera away less than a minute earlier!!! Couldn't believe I'd missed this fantastic chance of pictures,
