I like the compassion, just maybe if you were able to move a few steps more to the right to keep the tree limb from merging with the lighthouse. Also the image is very overexposed. May I ask what camera you were using and what the settings were for this image.

I agree with catson. Moving slightly would have eliminated the merging branch. The highlights and shadows do appear to be blocked. This could come from exposure or post processing. Pushing contrast or levels to the extreme in post processing can cause this to happen.
