George Silk was a photojournalist that spent 30 years with Life magazine. He passed away Saturday at age 87.
George shot the first pictures of atom-bombed Nagasaki and Japanese war criminals awaiting trial in postwar Tokyo.
He developed the strip camera that exposed film as it rolled past an aperature and became a leading sports photographer. He experimented with mounting cameras on skis, surfboards, etc.
