Which one is better

OK guys, I need some professional input. This picture was taken with a Canon EOS 10D. Which version do you like better. The whole version:

If they both had equal detail, I would say the cropped one. But I'm afraid the close cropped one lost too much detail in editing. It's not bad, but I think it's a bit grainier than would be acceptable. What do you guys think?

I like the cropped one. I guess it'll depend on how big you need to print it (if at all).

The crop makes more impact (to my eye).
