Brian has a beautiful gallery of Mono Lake images. He has posted times that the images were created. By comparing images with the same composition but taken several minutes apart will give a good look at how fast a great image can materialize or disappear. The light can change in a matter of minutes if not seconds.

Thanks for the nice comments. Indeed, this was a project I've been wanting to do for quite some time, I've been told it would be very useful for others to get a glimpse into my workflow, and what's going on while I'm out at a shoot. The experience might be similar, or quite different from others in the field. I'm thinking about including much more details on my post-processing for each image also...I've had several requests for that as well.
