Apology for remarks about the bear

I would like to apologize to any and all I offended with my criticism of the bear concept, I didn't really understand what it was and didn't make an effort to really find out. Thanks for the explanations, and to be honest I don't believe in unsolicited criticism or personal attacks in a forum like this. I think because i'm a Yank and in the aftermath of the elections, my tolerance for other people's preferences is faltering at the moment and I'm questioning things.
