Photos from the Peak District, England with EOS 20D

Post Fri Dec 03, 2004 7:19 pm

Hi,

I've just posted 70 images from a walk today in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District, England, to the the gallery below. There are landscape, wildlife & a few candid shots. I managed to shoot a few great shots of a heron, looking for its lunch. As a veteran of 2 weeks digital camera ownership this is my first 'proper' post, I would appreciate your comments.

Please go easy on me!

Thanks
Steve.

Good stuff! Looks like you're a quick study.

it's great that steve has spend sometime out there taking photographs! 20D is a great camera, i am sure that you have been enjoying using it :) only comment i d like to make about your pictures is that they lack great light to enhance the atomsphere

keep enjoying taking pictures and take lots of them! :D

I hope to get a lot better, thanks Pete. Haven't had a chance to look through your images yet (wow- a lot!), but I'll make your Greenland & Iceland sets a priority - my kind of scenery!

I have been looking for a new creative outlet, I hope this is it - I have definitely been bitten by the bug!

Cheers
Steve

Thanks for your encouragement, huanghong.

The 'light' was pretty bad, well it was awfull! That is is just how it is in the UK in December - but it was a great day out. I think it made for a few moody shots, and nothing was lost - I learned a fair bit & took 2 or 3 good photos.

Looking at your posts (great, by the way!), do you live in China & holiday in the UK, or the other way around? I'm guessing maybe you did a degree over here!
Cheers
Steve
